It is a unicameral body, consisting of 147 members, including 110 elected members and 37 military representatives. As of October 2013, the Hluttaw was led by speaker Thin Hlaing of the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP). As of the 2015 general election, the Burmese Military holds onto a narrow plurality seats in the legislature, based on the most recent election results. This is the only legislature, so far, that doesn't have the National League for Democracy (NLD) win the most amount of seat in this election.
